Top 10 Books of 2015

2015 has been an AMAZING year for books. I’ve read so many new books that are thought-provoking, ingenious, and fabulous. Unfortunately, this year was a pretty busy year for me, so I wasn’t able to read as many books as I did in my previous years. Nevertheless, I have decided to share with you guys a compiled list of my top 10 favourite books of the year!!

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys who are reading this post. You guys are so awesome! ❤

This year I’ve decided to go in reverse order haha. Here’s the list! *drumroll*

10. Eleanor & Park, Rainbow Rowell

This book was bitter sweet (almost wrote sweet and sour there haha). I absolutely loved the characters, the time setting… but I loved the romance most of all. I highly recommend this book!!

9. Gathering Darkness, Morgan Rhodes

This is actually the third book in a series. I’ve always loved the books in this series, so it’s really no surprise to me that I’ve included this book in my list haha. This book is also another book that I really recommend (but I also recommend you read the first two books first, because some parts of the book might not make sense if you hadn’t read the prior books).

8. Six of Crows, Leigh Bardugo

Mysterious and spectacular are two words I would use to describe this book. I loved this book so so much. The set of characters is also amazing.

7. The Fixer, Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Political thrillers is one of my favourite genres, and this book was an intense political thriller. I enjoyed this immensely, and I definitely recommend this!! 🙂

6. White Cat, Holly Black

I’ve always had pleasant encounters with Holly Black’s book, so when I read reviews of this book, I knew I had to pick it up. I have to say, this book is brilliant. This book has one of my favourite narrators of all time. Seriously. Cassel is so cool.

5. The Mime Order, Samantha Shannon

The Mime Order also has a really strong set of characters. This piece of dystopian fiction also has a really interesting take on clairvoyance, which simply blew me away.

4. Queen of Shadows, Sarah J. Maas

Three words: Badass Aelin Galathynius. Need I say more? 😉 I highly recommend this book. It is a must read!!

3. A Darker Shade of Magic, V. E. Schwab

Like The Mime Order, A Darker Shade of Magic is also based around a really interesting concept. V. E. Schwab is also an excellent writer, so I do recommend that you try this book out!

2. A Court of Thorns and Roses, Sarah J. Maas

As I’m sure you can tell, I do love Maas’ books a lot haha. A Court of Thorns and Roses is a new book in a new series, and it is so amazing. It also has fey in it, so if you like fey, do check this book out!

1. Golden Son, Pierce Brown

Golden Son is the second book in this series. Compared to Red RisingGolden Son is so much more complex and intense. It was a big step up, so if you didn’t like Red Rising that much, I do recommend you read Golden Son! It might just change your opinion on this series. 🙂

If you haven’t read some of the books yet, I hope you check them out, because they are really really good.
