An Award: Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award
Alicia from #lovebooks has nominated me for the
Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thank you so much, Alicia!! Her blog is just so perfect, and her book reviews are really, really fabulous. I’m really excited about the questions!! ❤
Rules:
- Answer a set of ten questions from the person who nominated you.
- Nominate ten other bloggers and give them a set of ten questions.
Alicia’s Questions
1) What are you currently reading and out of ten, how good is the book so far?
I am currently reading a total of three books haha: Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress (by Dai Sijie), The Way of Kings (by Brandon Sanderson), Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times (by Emma Trevayne).
– Balzac is very interesting, and I am really enjoying it. Unfortunately, I also have to study it for my English course… so that’s a bit of a downer.
– The Way of Kings is definitely the most captivating of the three (for me). I love the world the story takes place in, so the book is pretty good so far.
– Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times is okay. It’s not bad so far, but I’m not enjoying it as much as I had hoped to.
2) As the year is almost coming to a close (TWO MORE MONTHS!!!), what has been one of the biggest achievements this year?
One of my biggest achievements this year was being able to read about half of A Clash of Kings. That book is so long, and so daunting… I haven’t actually finished it yet though… oops.
3) How many books have you read so far this year?
70 books. I only have five more to go before I finish my 2015 reading challenge. Yay! 🙂
4) Create a book acrostic poem for your name (Think of a title of a book for every letter of your name?
Killer Spirit, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
East, by Edith Pattou
Legend, by Marie Lu
Lola and the Boy Next Door, by Stephanie Perkins
I‘ll Give You the Sun, by Jandy Nelson
End of Days, by Susan Ee
5) If you could chose three books, (not series 🙂 ) to take on a stranded island, which books would you chose?
This is so hard to answer haha. For me, the three books would probably be: Catching Fire (Suzanne Collins), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (J. K. Rowling), The Last Olympian (Rick Riordan). I chose these books, because I know that I’ll never get tired of reading them haha.
6) What is your most favourite under-hyped series or novel?
My favourite most under-hyped series is probably The Ascendance Trilogy, by Jennifer A. Nielsen. This series does have a (small) fan base, so I’m not sure if it really is under-hyped, but I do love this series.
7) If you had to lock yourself up in an empty room for a whole day, which book character would you lock yourself up with?
Probably Will Herondale.
Haha, I’m joking. I’d probably hyperventilate and be too self-conscious to strike up a conversation with him.
I’d probably lock myself up with Crookshanks. I like cats. ❤
8) What are you most excited about for Christmas (I know its early :))?
My family doesn’t celebrate Christmas, but I’m excited about the holiday that was made for Christmas! 🙂
9) If you could be an illustrator, author, editor or book reviewer- which one out of the four would you chose?
Definitely an author. I also enjoy being a book reviewer though. Ahhhhh I’m not sure *sad face*.
10) List the first song you think of and pair it with a book that reminds you of the song!
Hello, by Adele
This song reminds me of Sweet Evil, by Wendy Higgins. I’m not sure why… It’s probably because ‘Hello’ sounds pretty sad, and there are sad parts in Sweet Evil where (one of) my OTP(s) are unable to be together because it’s too dangerous for that to happen.

Thank you so much for the nominations! ❤ I really, really like cats too, but my mom is allergic, so I've lived my fair share of life with dogs (also love them). And yes, those wink gifs (esp. Thor) are very…. *swoon* 😉
